Deborah Berger, Director, Environmental Advisory Services, Export Development Canada

Deborah Berger is the Director of the Environmental Advisory Services team at Export Development Canada. Her team provides comprehensive social and environmental due diligence services for EDC and ensures implementation of EDC’s international commitments to the Equator Principles and the OECD Common Approaches on Environment. She is actively engaged in the strategic review of the Equator Principles. Before joining EDC in 2002, Deborah worked as an environmental consultant which included several environmental and community development assignments in Africa. Deborah is a Professional Engineer with a Masters of Applied Science in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from the University of Toronto.
