Charles Wells, Director of Operations, Digby Wells

Charles Wells is the Director of Operations at Digby Wells. He has an MSc in Environmental Biotechnology with experience in operational environmental management including mining, construction and heavy industry as well as research on sustainable wastewater-treatment technologies. Charles has been extensively involved in the management of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process as well as with the compilation of Environmental Management Plans (EMPs). A number of these have been compliant with Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards. In addition he has experience in conducting due diligence investigations, biodiversity assessments, closure costs assessments and EMP compliance auditing. This has included work in Ivory Coast, Botswana, Senegal, Namibia, Mali, Morocco, DRC and South Africa, with projects involving minerals such as gold, silver, copper, cobalt, nickel, coal and uranium.
