BERNARDA ELIZALDE Programme Director of Sustainable Development, Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC)

Bernarda Elizalde is programme director of sustainable development for the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) to help the exploration sector continuously improve its CSR practices, and to develop strategies that contribute to sustainable development initiatives. She studied biological sciences at Pontificia Universidad Católica in Quito, Ecuador. She also has an MSc in environmental sciences from the University of Wageningen in The Netherlands, specialising in environmental impact assessment and environmental function evaluation. She has ten years’ experience of working as an independent consultant with various extractives companies and consultants’ groups.
